Southdown Folk Festival in Bognor Regis

Southdown Folk Festival Bognor Regis

It’s back! After having been cancelled last year due to the COVID pandemic, the Southdown Folk Festival is back this year between 16th and 19th September 2021.

There’s lots to see and it’s a great day out for our visitors looking to see some of the local entertainment.

Expect great headliners – including Steve Harley, Merry Hell and many others – plus our third Southdowns Ukulele Festival, their inaugural Southdowns Americana Festival and new for this year, a stunning ‘Shanty Showdown’ feature. It’s gonna be good!

They are ‘rolling-over’ almost all of the entire Festival programme into 2021. As before, there`ll be loads of free events, fabulous festival markets, dance displays, Big Seaside Sing, musical sessions, free workshops and more.

Festival outreach projects, in particular the ‘Making Your Mark’ free ukulele sessions and ‘Musical Minds’ will continue – with a series of mini events and concerts culminating at the 2021 event.

Merry Hell Headline Our Saturday Night

The brilliant, award-winning Merry Hell are now headlining on Saturday 18th September in place of The Strawbs, who have sadly had to pull out due to medical reasons.

Wonderful news – they’ve been awarded a grant of £4000 for future festival projects.
