Denmans Garden in liquidation

Bed and breakfast Bognor Regis - Denmans Garden

We were very sad to hear that one of our local attractions has closed down.

Denmans Garden Limited is now in liquidation and will be sold at auction later this month.

The company released a statement today revealing it is managing the sale, which will take place online on April 26.

The gardens, cafe and plant centre in Fontwell announced its closure on March 13

The sale ‘will include many of the well-known garden statues and architectural urns and planters, as well as the garden and café furniture, catering equipment and plants in a sale that exceeds 200 lots’.

About Denmans Garden

The four-acre garden was been designed for year-round interest through use of form, colour and texture. The layout allows visitors to enjoy quiet, small areas within the whole. It’s a garden full of ideas that can be adapted to suit any size of garden. The Plant Centre stocks an enormous range of plants as well as sculptures and pieces to suit every type of garden, including terracotta pots and planters.

It is a showpiece for John Brookes’ ideas and commitment to easy care. He uses foliage, gravel mulches, contrasts of form, coloured stems, winter bark and plants as elements of design. The garden’s design is so fluid that you feel carried along by its momentum and, of course, it is a brilliant source of ideas for your own garden.
