The Fox Inn in Felpham is just around the corner from Spring Cottage and Christmas at The Fox Inn is celebrated in style. The beautiful ceiling lights and decorations create a magical and cosy atmosphere to enjoy a couple of festive drinks and even a delicious meal.
Tucked away down a country lane, 250 yards from the beach. The pub is named after a local H.M. Customs Cutter “The Fox” that sailed these shores in search of illegal cargo in the late 18th century, which is why you see a ship outside the pub.
Its oak paneled walls are filled with old pictures and snippets of village life along with a list of every landlord since 1790. It was also once the watering hole of the poet William Blake and where he was famously arrested and charged with sedition on a jumped up charge involving a drunken soldier staying at the Fox.
Today this family run pub is known for its cosy friendly atmosphere, wide range of well-kept ales, quality wines and great food.
